known as a competitive market analysis or CMA, this is a relatively informal
valuation, usually performed by a real estate agent or firm to assess the
market value of a home.
A CMA is prepared by reviewing recent sales of similar properties in the area.
The agent will adjust for specific features of the subject property and prepare
a proposed listing price for the property.
The quality of a CMA is based to a large extent on the knowledge and experience
level of the agent preparing it.
